The Hammock is conveniently located between 2 flea markets.

The Daytona Flea Market is well known to tourists and residents of Flagler and Volusia counties and can be found due south on I 95 approximately 30 miles from Palm Coast.  Daytona 500 enthusiasts and Bike Week participants will find a plethora of memorabilia during those events.  Beach lovers find it another venue on overcast Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.   It contains 90 percent “new junk”.

The Saint Augustine Flea Market 20 miles north on I 95 is only open Saturdays and Sundays.  It, on the other hand, contains 90 percent “old junk” and was our choice for a cool Sunday in January.  It was a day that I felt like “poking around”.

There were even rides for young and old.  Be sure to look at the rear of the photo.

If you were interested, there were businesses for sale.

If you could think to sell it, it was likely available.  Take a look.

There was even a trailer park for fairies.

And signs for inspiration or smiles.

Maybe a friend for my Teddy Bear that was made from my paternal grandmother’s sable coat.  I think the one on the bottom might be related.  What do you think?

And, there were snacks for the hungry.

I satisfied my desire to “poke around” and my only regret is that I didn’t invest in this antique tractor sprinkler–I found it special.

Just so you don’t forget where to look for “old junk”–here is the sign, clearly visible from I 95.
